Zombies is a gamemode that the developers threw in as a last minute test. Now I believe it to be one of the main reasons of DLC sales on Bo3 (Black Ops 3). The gamemode has evolved into something that almost all Treyarch fans enjoy, weather it be all the time, or part time. You face the undead hoard solo or up to 4 players.

Killing and damaging zombies gains you points to use to buy things such as weapons & perks. You use perk machines to help aid you in various ways, such as 'Juggernog Soda' that allows you to take 6-7 hits before getting downed, or even a 'Mystery Box' that gives you a random weapon to use against the zombies. There is also a story hidden with easter eggs in the maps. Because of it's massive success with fans, the gamemode is featured in every Treyarch Call of Duty game to this day & has even led other Call of Duty developers to make their own versions of Zombies with different gameplay features and story. It is some of the most fun I have ever had on a video game. Not only is that a featured mode in Call of Duty: World at War, but you can also download 'Mod Tools' that allows users to create their own maps, (Multiplayer & Zombies. Or even make your own Campaign missions!), and scripts. The Zombies community is very strong in all, even on this game.
The modding community, on the other hand, isn't quite as strong anymore. You see, Black Ops 3 has gotten these same mod tools & most of the 'modders' - (This isn't a bad term. It describes people who make their own maps & scripts) have gone on to do the same stuff on a new engine with better graphics n' such.
I myself will be mostly modding on Bo3 when I get my new PC that can handle it.If you want to know any more, just ask me a question on this thread or on my profile. I'd be happy to answer. Hope this helps!
The first thing you will notice about the server name field is that the text area will only allow you to enter 20 characters; most likely due to the fact that is really the amount that will show on the server browser screen (with a little blank space at the end) and anything more will just be cut off. The second thing you will notice about the server name field is that you can’t enter any strange characters in the server name text area so that eliminates the obvious way of changing colors like has been possible in all versions of COD; using the carrot character along with a number 0 through 9 (^1 or ^5 etc. ).If you open up the console and type /serverinfo you will noticed one of the variables listed is svhostname. So with another simple command of /svhostname TEST and then another /serverinfo you can see this allows you to name your server a little differently.
Being that this is done using the console you have full access to characters. If you try the classic color code commands such as /svhostname ^1TESTING you will see it works. So to summarize:.
Start COD:WAW SP/CO-OP, start your server and then go into GAME SETUP. Now bring down the full console using SHIFT + ` (key above tab). Enter the command /serverinfo to see your current server settings.
Enter the command /clear to clear the console window. Enter the command /svhostname ^1My ^2Server ^3Name to give it a name. Enter the command /serverinfo to check and verify the name is how you want it. Press the ` key again to close out of the console. Launch your CO-OP server with a snazzy new colored name that should catch some attention.
