MAKING YOUR OWN ARMORVIII. DETERMINING ARMOR RATINGIX. CLOSING REMARKSX.

LEGAL INFORMATIONI.!!!VERY IMPORTANT!!!.I know I will get e-mails about this, so let me clarify. I know that the ArmorRating is different depending on your Light Armor, Medium Armor, and HeavyArmor abilities, but when I recorded each of these, my Light, Medium, and HeavyArmor skills were all at 50.

I used 50 because it is in the middle. If you wantto know what the armor would be at if your skills were at 100, simply doublethe Armor Rating. This means that when you start a new game, your skills won'tbe very high, so the Armor Rating may be lower, but you can use this FAQ tocompare them to the other armor you have to figure out whether or not it isbetter than what you have. Also, If your Light Armor is really high, but yourHeavy Armor is really low, it will appear that all Light Armor in the game isreally good, while all Heavy Armor is really bad. This is not the case. If yousee a piece of Heavy Armor that you want, in order to make it better, simplypay someone to train your Heavy Armor skill (Or just wear it a whole lot).

Thelocations of the trainers are listed on other FAQ's, so I feel no need to putthem here. The location of each armor may be slightly different for you, as many trader'sin the game have somewhat random inventory, but it is only slightly random.Generally, if I say that someone has a specific piece of armor, they may notalways carry every single piece of armor from that set. They may be missing afew pieces. Meaning, if you see that 'so-and-so' carries the Chitin TowerShield, but you don't see it in his inventory, just leave and come back. Also, I don't have the location for every armor because I added it as an afterthought. I realized that it would be helpful to know where to buy or find them,so don't complain that I didn't complete this guide, because I didn't intend onputting the locations in at all.II.

CONTACT INFORMATIONIf you want to contact me about any misspelling, or you know of a moreconvenient location for a certain armor, or.anything.

at all that I left out,my email is at the top. For the lazy people, it is smt512@yahoo.com. Also, ifthere is anything that is mentioned a lot on the message boards about armorthat you think I should mention, tell me.

If you have suggestions for anythingI should add, like enchanted and unique armor, I may not do it, but if enoughpeople tell me to, there's a possibility. Don't be afraid to send me an email, just don't you DARE send me spam.IV. ARMOR LISTI have listed each and every unenchanted piece of armor that I could find inMorrowind and the Expansions. This is how they are set up:1.

Name of the armor: Self-explanatory. I tried to write each one exactly howit appears in the game to help out with using 'Find' (Control - F).2. Armor Rating: The defensive value of the armor.3. Condition: This represents how long the armor lasts until it breaks (well,it doesn't break, but as the Condition goes down, the defense of the armor goesdown, and when it reaches 0, you can't equip it again until you repair it). Also, if the Condition is lower, you sell it for less.4. Weight: In the menu, above your picture is a number, and that is how muchweight you can carry. You can carry more weight as your Strength goes up.5. Value: How much the armor is worth.

You buy it at this price and you usuallycan't sell something for the value price. You can buy things for less and sellthem for more if the person you are selling it to has a high disposition (howmuch they like you).6. Enchantment: The amount of enchantment each armor can hold. The higher theenchantment points, the more you can enchant it with.

The values I have listedare directly from the TESCS, so the values are ten times what they appear as inthe game. I will change the values to exactly what they appear as in the gamewhen I have more time. Thanks to watlemeron for pointing that out.7.

Location: Where you can find the armor.

Why is it that we can find malachite in Skyrim, the homeland of the Nords, and yet we cannot make a glass armor that reflects the Nord Culture? Yes there are Elves, but this is not about them, it's about the Nords! The project Skywind from TESrenewal created armor that refelcted the dark elf culture and looked suited for that environment. The glass armor is Skyrim does not look suited for the cold lands of Skyrim.Could we get a glass armor that has fur, with designs inspired by the Ancient Nordic pantheon.

Morrowind Best Armor

I think a good choice would be the Owl.(If this idea does not seem viable, perhaps someone could find a way to make the glass armor fit to the body more like shown in this concept art here:)While I do respect the artist and all the work he put into the game, I do feel that not all of their descisions made sense entirely. Since each Elder Scroll game takes place in a different provinces I think it is better that the majority of the armors reflect the culture and people there and not have a mix of armors from all over Tamriel.

The original glass armor should stick around due to the Thalmor prescence, but there could be more repesentation for the Nordic people of Skyrim. In ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) they simplified this by allowing the player to use different materials for the same 'style'. I could make Nordic style ebony armor, or Nordic style armor made from dwarven materials. However, what do you guys think?

Agree or Disagree? Are there enough Nord Armors in the game?

Do you think that this idea is lore breaking at all? What kind of designs should the armor have? Maybe I can do some sketches later. Please, let me know your thoughts!Image 1: The Owl represents Jhunal, from the Ancient Nordic Pantheon, the God of wisdomImage 2: Two parter- Viking Helmet and Owl (Can you see the similarity between the two?)Image 3: Vanilla Skyrim glass armorImage 4: Skywind Glass Armor.

I like that style of Armor.I would love to be able to have more armor (of any type really) in skyrim. As for there needing to be more Nordic Influences, I do agree, but one thing I keep in mind is that Skyrim has been part of the Empire for how long? Because of that, styles will change. While they would 'adapt' the style to fit the climate (which I find hilarious that you have men and women both running around in armor that barely covers them in a snow covered wasteland.), there would be a lot of outside influences in their 'present' day armor. However, I would think that even if they didn't wear it, they would have more traditional nordic armor. Perhaps an armorer is trying to bring back a revival of the ancient armors (which if you think about it, would make sense with the content of skyrim)As for the designs, it would depend on the wearer probably. For instance, I would like to see a 'cat' themed one (probably more stealth themed than anything) using sabrecat fur. Wolf themed (Loyalty?) using a wolf based. Stag, Troll, Perhaps even a dragon themed one.

Think of the various animals we see running around Skyrim. That is probably what the ancients would have patterned their armors after and used in the construction (any fur)It would be interesting to see a glass armor with say a wolf's face done in glass on the breastplate of it with perhaps fur around the neck and shoulders and the rest metal. A stag based armor could be some what spiky with the glass looking someone like the Antlers of the stags (but sharpened to a razor sharp point so that the body can become a weapon )And since I think I am now rambling, I will let it go at that.

Morrowind Snow Wolf Armor Review

I really hate sashes and robes on the lower parts of armor it just looks like a cheap way to hide complicated areas of the armor so they can just be left out which is usually the crotch area unless it is a female armor of course. This sort of thing is how fallout 4 handles armor and the whole armor system in that game is better than in skyrim but that stuff is hard coded I don't know how it could be implemented in skyrim. It's a male model. Morrowind is a harsh land filled with ash, layers of cloth helps your skin breathe. When making the model they made the armor then added the sash on top. Also Dark elf clothing traditionally had sashes or cloth covering the lower half.

I do not think it would be difficult to put the armor in the game considering how many armor mods there are that have already done this. I like that style of Armor.I would love to be able to have more armor (of any type really) in skyrim. As for there needing to be more Nordic Influences, I do agree, but one thing I keep in mind is that Skyrim has been part of the Empire for how long?

I think two designs that I would suggest staying away from would be dragons and wolves, because we already have armor sets with those traits. If someone were to amke a nord based glass armor, it would be best to stick with one design rather than trying to make multiple versions.

Trying to make multiple versions of one type of armor for different playthroughs does not seem viable. There are a lot of armors to choose from for varying playthroughs. It would not be a bad idea to do something like Nordic Carved Armor. Inspirations from multiple animals to make one armor.Image of Armor:However try to stick with their culture, the animals on the Noric carved armor are all from the Nordic pantheon. The bear and the hawk. There are still other animals on the pantheon that could be used. Like the Stag, Moth, Fox, Whale, Owl, and Snake (I would not recommend the Snake since he is actually described as the 'Enemy God' in the Pantheon.)Link to lore on Noric Pantheon:Edited by Iccotak, 26 January 2016 - 03:56 PM.
