If you are just gonna end up playing 2-3 3DS titles seriously, try searching for preowned copies of those games. Normally a Monster Hunter game could go as low as 28AUD on local game shops (preowned), and a copy of Pokemon ($48/$38 preowned), so it still comes out cheaper compared to a sky3DS+ and you dont have to worry on goin' online, plus you get to own the cartridge and keep it one day as part of your collection.Someday it (the games you purchased) will be rare and expensive to get one even online.And you will also be motivated to play and finish the games.2nd option would be to sell your console, and instead get a preowned one. Goodluck finding one on a lower firmware, with reasonable price and excellent condition. Just look at your current console you wouldnt want to swap it with a device that might have non functioning buttons/keys in less than a year just because you were after CFW to play backups.
