We wrote about the Simulation Lag Fix Mod which fixes many glitches in The Sims 4 related to response time. The mod was developed by simmythesim but for some reason the update stopped receiving updates along with The Sims 4 Patches for PC and Mac.Luckily modder SrslySims decided to lift up the mod and make it fully functional for The Sims 4’s latest version.The mod has been tested and is functioning properly with The Sims 4’s current version. You can get it by simply clicking the download button down below and extracting the contents to Electronic Arts The Sims 4 Mods folder.

Considering that this is a script mod you’ll need to enable both Mods / CC and Script Mods in your game options in order to have this mod working. The Sims 4 doesn’t really lag, it’s a scheduling problem, which is caused by threading problems (poor CPU/memory performance during distributed processes) and/or silent exceptions, due to data errors and/or bad scripting, which cause the engine to wait for a cycle before scheduling the next interaction(s). Build a system with a high frequency CPU and quad channel memory, a high performance storage controller with striped serial SSDs or M.2, and install the package on a separate physical device and volume. You can also output interaction lists, and object states, when you see that your sims are idling, and you’ll notice that the majority of the delays are caused by routing failures – sim routed to null surface, invalid object state, multitasking inaccessible objects, bad tuning in package which causes silent cancellation of super interactions, etc.
